Mercer Veterinary Clinic: Serving Sacramento

Location:

  • Our facility is located on the Loaves and Fishes campus in Sacramento. 

  • The address for Loaves and Fishes is 1351 N C St, Sacramento, CA 95811.

  • The entrance to the parking lot is on Ahern St.

Our Clients:

  • Mercer Veterinary Clinic provides free veterinary services to individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity in the Sacramento area.

  • New clients complete a client information form with contact information and details about their pets.

    • The form also includes a description of the clinic, our services, and a statement verifying the client’s eligibility for these services.

Services provided include:

  • Wellness exams and vaccinations.

  • Problem-based medical exams, including diagnostics and treatment.

  • Flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives.

  • Pet food, including prescription diets.

  • Referral for spay/neuter.

  • We are able to serve up to 3 pets per household.

Clinic Sign-ups:

  • Clinics are held on the second Saturday of each month. Check in starts at 7am.

  • Though we do not schedule specific appointment times, we do require clients to sign up in advance of each clinic, and clinic sign-ups will be capped when we reach capacity. This is necessary to ensure we do not accept more patients than we can treat that day.

  • Appointment availability is currently very limited. To request an appointment, please fill out the Appointment Request Form. We will contact you if we are able to schedule you an appointment.

Davis Pet Advocacy and Wellness (DPAW): A Mercer Satellite Clinic Serving Davis and Yolo County

Location:

  • DPAW is currently being held at Paul’s Place, at 1111 H Street Davis, CA 95616

Our Clients:

  • Davis Pet Advocacy and Wellness provides free veterinary services to individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity in the Davis area.

  • New clients are asked to fill out a client information form with contact information and details about their pets.

    • The form also includes a description of the clinic and the services we provide, and a statement verifying the client’s eligibility for these services.

Services provided include:

  • Wellness exams and vaccinations.

  • Problem-based medical exams, including diagnostics and treatment.

  • Flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives.

  • Clinics are typically held on the first Saturday of the month at 9am.

    • JANUARY 2025: This month the clinic will be on Saturday January 18 instead

  • Though we do not schedule specific appointment times, we do require clients to sign up in advance of each clinic, and clinic sign-ups will be capped when we reach capacity. This is necessary to ensure we do not accept more patients than we can treat that day.

    • The BEST way to request an appointment is by filling out the Davis PAW Appointment Request Form

    • If you are unable to use this form, you may call us at 530-746-8262. We try to return phone calls within 3 business days

    • We do not reply to texts or emails requesting appointments.

    • If we are able to grant your appointment request, a Davis PAW representative will be in touch to confirm your spot at an upcoming clinic.
